I was rather hesitant to seek treatment initially and Catalina was the first experience I had with this kind of facility. It ultimately turned out to be a really good decision. The general environment of the place puts one at ease, and the behavioral group therapy sessions are likewise very inviting and inclusive. A great safe space is cultivated here to make anyone feel comfortable and open to treatment. The IOP and PHP coordinator, Dave, is truly a cut above. He is encouraging, approachable, and very wise. He was able to connect with everyone in the room on some level and coax out the deeper underlying issues or rationales behind behavioral and addiction struggles. I can highly recommend the outpatient experience for anyone who may not have tried this kind of treatment before and might have reservations about it.

What types of Arizona substance abuse treatment programs does Catalina Behavioral Health offer?

Catalina offers residential treatment (inpatient rehab) and our accredited Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) as part of our outpatient treatment programs. Catalina also offers aftercare planning, family programs, and alumni services. Catalina does not offer detox on-site at this time.

What makes Catalina different from other Arizona drug and alcohol rehab center programs?

With trauma-sensitive approaches and clinicians trained in treating the underlying causes of alcohol and drug addiction, Catalina fully endorses the tenets of wellness and scientifically-based approaches as outlined by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. In addition, we go above and beyond to provide a bespoke, personalized treatment plan specific to each person in our care.

What can I expect when attending rehab in Tucson at Catalina?

Some adults need medical detox, withdrawal management, hospital stabilization, or medical clearance before Catalina admission. Catalina does not provide on-site medical detox or hospital care. Admissions can discuss appropriate outside options and, after those needs are addressed, whether Catalina’s adult residential or outpatient treatment may be clinically appropriate.

Do you offer Tucson mental health treatment programs for Clients Not Abusing Substances?

Yes, our mental health and trauma rehab program offerings are open to clients without substance abuse histories.
